A film by and starring Matteo Righetto
If the mountains could speak to us, would we know how to listen? *Silenzio e Vento* explores the spiritual bond between human beings and the mountain environment, moving beyond the idea of mountaineering as a conquest or a hedonistic pursuit, and transforming it instead into a profound act of listening. Through the eyes of writer Matteo Righetto and his encounters with mountaineers, scholars, and people who live and work in the mountains, the film reflects on the ethical value of high-altitude environments in an era of ecological crisis and tourism pressure.
In case of bad weather, the screening will take place the following evening, Tuesday, June 30, or at the Roncone Theater
All screenings begin at 9:15 PM; they are free with reservations, subject to availability.
