Hen - Storia di una gallina
Monday, July 6 - Castel Romano | Por
Comedy/Drama | Germany, Greece, Hungary | 2025 | 96 min
Directed by György Pálfi
The director of the unforgettable Taxidermia (Cannes 2006) tells the story of a hen, beginning with the laying of the egg. He adopts the bird's point of view, creating a disorienting, unsettling, and posthuman effect. The hen-stubborn, resilient, determined to raise her chicks and preserve her freedom-encounters other animals (a fox, a mouse, a worm, a hawk, a dog, dinosaurs in a TV documentary), but inevitably also humans, their violence, their tragedies, and injustices, both great and small. Sometimes as an unwitting witness, sometimes as an unintentional catalyst.
In case of inclement weather, the event will take place at the Youth Center in Creto
All screenings begin at 9:15 PM; they are free with reservations, subject to availability.
