PASSI NELLA STORIA
Friday 7, 14 and 21 August
DIFFICULTY: easy
HEIGHT DIFFERENCE: 420 D-
COVERED DISTANCE: 4km
In occasion of the International Year of Pastures and Shepherds, the Park is organising an easy walk to explore the history of the Val di Breguzzo and the limited resources once available to the community, starting with the pastures - often referred to as the 'green gold' of the mountains.
Following a simple downhill route - restored in part thanks to the efforts of pupils from the primary schools in Bondo and Breguzzo - we will set off from Malga d'Arnò, with the snow-capped silhouette of the Passo del Frate visible in the distance, to explore the most secluded corners of the splendid Val d'Arnò. Passing by ancient ruins and remnants of the Great War, and encountering small waterfalls, mountain huts and ancient gravestones, we will follow the 'Passi nella Storia' trail, a route that recounts the history and memories of this area through the traces left by both man and nature.
MEETING POINT: 08:30 at the Trentino Trasporti bus stop in Lardaro (shuttle bus ride up to Malga Arnò - it is also possible to use the transport service from the individual stops listed here: https://book.pnab.it/it/mobilita/val-breguzzo).
On the return journey, the bus will depart at approximately 11.40 am from the Trentino Trasporti bus stop at the Breg Adventure adventure park in Val Breguzzo.
