Valeria Barbi, an environmental journalist and writer specializing in biodiversity, is a naturalist and political scientist by training. She is also the author of *From Alaska to Patagonia: A Journey Through the World's Most Extraordinary Ecosystems* (Editori Laterza, 2025) and *What Is Biodiversity Today?* (Edizioni Ambiente, 2022). Together with photographer and videographer Davide Agati, she created WANE-We Are Nature Expedition, a multimedia report that documents the impacts of human activities on biodiversity and maps stories of possible coexistence between humans and other species. For GEO (Rai3), she curates a segment on the importance of biodiversity and biomimicry. He is the communications director for Salviamo L'Orso and serves on the Communication and Education Commission of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Route description: A quick ascent via the lifts will take us to the 2,097-meter peak of Doss del Sàbion. A spectacular 360° view of the entire Adamello Brenta Park.

We will follow the 'Soffio del vento' trail, which is slightly exposed and of moderate difficulty, to the Madonnina area; from there, we will descend to Lake Valagola, home to one of the rare bodies of water in the Brenta Group. We will return along the Senter del Martel, completing the loop hike in the Pra Rodont area, from where we will take the lift back down to the valley.

Full-day activity-participants are responsible for their own packed lunch.
